Tangle Pattern I created

How I came up with this design? I got inspired from seeing some beautifully drawn female portraits on Flickr. I converted a photograph of myself into a photo copy black and white image and trace the light and dark segments onto my tangle pattern card. The scribbling I did to fill in the image reminded me of a single strand of my natural hair, so that's how I came up with the name of my tangle pattern, "Nappy". I'm planning on doing other family member's portraits in this method later on.

Zentangle 1 using the Milliande Template

First Zentangles Drawn in January 2010

This is my 2nd Zentangle design I did on black paper. I bought a 9 x 12" pad of black paper and I'm planning on filling it with Zentangles.

My very first Zentangles I ever drawn since I purchased the Zentangle 2 book at Beverly's Craft Store. The book alone, looks intriguing so I had to take a look, liked what I saw and the rest is history. I discovered Zentangle in the 2nd week of July, so I've been drawing Zentangle designs not quite a month.



The Black Background looks cool. This one is the first Zentangle I did with white ink on black paper.

House to myself

Since I have the house to myself and free to do what ever I like, I decided to open a blog of my own. This coming week I will start building items to add to my blog that I'm working on. Some are more complete than others. Since it's 2 weeks away from Halloween, I'm creating cute t-shirts for my Husband and myself. They are orange t-shirts with a crocheted black spider web sewn in the front with a crocheted spider. They are really cute. I just finished with an Orange Spider web cap I made for myself, but have it in a dye pot full of orange dye along with my Husband t-shirt and some yarn I handspun. I will post photos of these 3 projects by next week.
